Our topic this half term is 'Gruesome Guts'. Through this topic the children will learn all about the human body including the skeleton, digestive system and exploring the teeth and eyes. We will enhance our learning opportunities through a visit to the Thackery Museum in Leeds, and having a local dentist and optician come into school. 

 

Our P.E days are: Tuesday (Indoor) and Year 5 swimming 

Thursday  - Outdoor

PE Days: Wednesday - indoor (dance) Thursday - outdoor (football)

Home learning expectations:

 - Read at home at least 3x a week.

 - Practice focus times tables

 - Practice the spelling and reading of common exception words  (Autumn List to be learnt before Christmas break) 

 - Topic learning menu. 

Reading Expectations

All children in Year 3 should be reading at home 3 times a week as a minimum. Children are rewarded for their home reading by moving up the in-class chart and can win prizes for doing lots of home reading.
